During photography school in the second summer their marriage, Ansel Adams helped Ardis and Philip Hyde land the job of caretakers of The Sierra Club Parson's Lodge, Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite. They lived in the nearby historical McCauley Homestead Cabin.
